DoorDash Software Engineer interview experience

I had one hour to solve a LeetCode hard problem, and it focused on binary tree traversal.

What made it feel especially tough was how hands-off the interviewer was. They didn’t assist, comment, or really engage with my progress while I worked, so there wasn’t much feedback loop to correct course or validate my approach in the moment.

I wasn’t successful in moving forward, and I think the lack of guidance made me rely entirely on my own correctness and timing. That isolation made the round feel harder than the headline difficulty alone.
