After a recruiter phone conversation, I moved into the first technical assessment with a DoorDash software engineer.

The communication felt smooth early on, and I felt like everything was progressing normally.

The technical part itself went fine in terms of engagement, but afterward the tone shifted: it took a while for them to get back to me. Overall it felt like a responsive process up to the technical round, and then just slowed down a lot. I didn’t end up with an offer, and the long silence afterward left me with a bit of an off feeling about how the process was managed.
