My initial stage was just a friendly phone call.

It wasn’t a technical grilling—it was more of a 30-minute conversation where the interviewer asked about the position, the team I’d be joining, and the overall timeline for the process.

It set the tone in a simple way: understand the role, understand where I’d fit, and align on what came next. There wasn’t any special difficulty here, and the interviewer’s tone made it feel low-pressure.

Since this was only the early screen, I didn’t make it to an offer from this step alone. Still, I came away feeling like the process start was respectful and focused rather than vague.
