My AE interviews were generally average in format, but the overall scheduling and compensation conversation varied, with one clear moment of salary disappointment.

Recruiter screen — early contact to align on role and salary; in one case I learned the pay early and it felt too low.
Manager/lead interview step — a follow-up discussion that covered my background and the role, with the recruiter setting up multiple calls with relevant people.
Interview progression — I experienced both efficient and disorganized elements: some interactions were friendly and on time, while others had delays. Outcome: No offer; the big takeaway was that good rapport didn’t always translate into alignment on compensation or smooth logistics.
