I applied through the Hotstar careers site, and the whole thing moved online.

After scheduling, I ended up doing only a single round—just one interview—and I rejected after that first step. The interaction was fairly smooth and the interviewer came across as cool.

What stood out to me was how fast the loop was: the entire process took just about a day. It didn’t feel like a deep multi-round evaluation, but rather a quick check.

I didn’t get an offer, and the reflection I had afterward was that the speed left very little room for the conversation to meaningfully demonstrate fit—my decision came early simply because the process ended right after that first round.
