Digitas Business Analyst interview experience

Posted Jan 2013 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a successful-feeling analyst interview loop at Digitas but ended up waiting for an offer that was later rescinded due to budget timing.

Interview process leading to an expected offer — I was told I would receive an offer after the interview went very well.
Post-interview waiting period — after about a week with no offer, I learned analyst hiring was put on hold while the company balanced the budget.
Communication gap — the experience felt like HR and the local practices weren’t aligned, and I felt misled given the earlier expectation.

Outcome: I didn’t receive the offer; the takeaway is that operational/budget decisions can override strong interview performance and leave candidates frustrated.
