San Francisco, CAPosted Jan 2017 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

Dialpad’s process started with a pretty comprehensive walkthrough of my background, specifically how my past experience translated to the role I was applying for.

The discussion wasn’t just resume recitation—I was asked to walk through what I’d done and articulate how it tied to what was expected. They also asked what I thought the job would entail, and then compared my perspective to what they were looking for.

A big part of the experience was also needing to show I understood the product and the team, similar to how you’d approach researching a prospect. Overall it felt like they were evaluating sales acumen and role awareness in a direct way, and it ended without an offer.
