DENSO Software Engineer interview experience

United StatesPosted Oct 2014 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for the Software Engineer role through a difficult, somewhat trust-fragile process, where assessments felt broad and the information shared about the job wasn’t reliable.

Pen-and-paper assessment approach — I went through a large set of basic syllabus questions plus quantitative aptitude and reasoning, which set a testing-heavy tone early.
Generalized process with unclear/overpromised details — Separately, I encountered a three-step process where I felt there was a lot of misleading information and promises about the company and day-to-day responsibilities. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer, and the main takeaway is that both the evaluation style and the clarity of expectations impacted my confidence.
