My process felt poorly managed and I didn’t get much closure.

After my interview, they didn’t bother to provide feedback. The last round also got rescheduled, but there wasn’t even a proposed date communicated at the time.

Eventually, I learned that the department was going through retrenchments, which explained the sudden slowdown and the lack of clear next steps. That context made the silence easier to understand, but it still didn’t change how unprofessional it felt during the waiting period.

I didn’t receive an offer. The main reflection I had afterward was that the interview itself wasn’t the main problem—the follow-through and communication were.
