My early process felt more like an initial funnel than a deep technical gauntlet.

One of the steps focused on explaining the position and walking me through the next steps, including whether it would lead to an in-person interview and some kind of knowledge check.

When I reached the later interview stage, the technical side was pretty friendly and to the point. I talked about my projects and covered DSA basics, and the questions were framed in a way that didn’t feel overly hostile. I still ran into logical problem-solving through an online assessment that leaned on arrays—things like reductions and special conditions—plus a mix of multiple-choice and coding questions.
