I interviewed for a Software Engineer role in a relatively conversational, accommodating setting, with prompts centered on my projects, motivation, and near-term plans.

Initial technical/capacity discussion — I had an initial tech capacity step, and afterward the tone became more like a discussion.
Project and scenario-based conversation — I talked through my recent and difficult projects.
Motivation and roadmap questions — I explained why I wanted Dell, my reasons for changing jobs, and my future roadmap.
Additional leadership/HR-style touchpoints — one process emphasized HR/managerial discussions before a technical round. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; I generally felt supported, but the fit or technical bar still wasn’t
