The process kicked off with a HackerRank test that felt deceptively simple, and then it turned into an interview loop that was mentally exhausting for different reasons.

I experienced the system design round with frequent interruptions that made it hard to lay out my thinking cleanly.

The coding part included a home task, followed by an interview extension where the follow-up questions felt unclear and the expectations weren’t transparent. One of the other coding experiences I had also left a bad taste: the live coding session was run by an engineer who arrived late and was difficult to work with, including accusations that I was looking up answers. That combination of tension and lack of clarity made the whole thing feel more adversarial than evaluative.
