Dayforce Software Engineer interview experience

The technical interview lasted around two hours. We started by going over my resume, and I had to explain my experiences and projects before jumping into the coding.

The coding portion was a bundle of multiple questions. I went through five total, with a heavy mix of SQL and LeetCode-style prompts—mostly in the easy-to-medium range. The structure stayed consistent: I’d work through problems, then talk through my reasoning and how I’d approach them.

Alongside that, there was also a behavioral component with scenario-based prompts, including questions like how I’d handle different situations.
