Datadog Software Engineer interview experience

SeniorPosted Jan 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I didn’t get much granularity on the exact prompts, but the through-line was a very specific sort of technical match.

After the early steps, I had a query-log-focused round where the task centered on matching queries to logs.

Overall, it felt like the process was built around validating that core competency rather than trying to surprise me with obscure material. I left with the impression that the questions were all consistent across stages, and I appreciated that the focus was narrow enough to understand what mattered.
