Datadog Software Engineer interview experience

In total, I went through eight interviews, and the expectation communicated throughout was that I’d be close to an all-around unicorn—excellent on people management, deep technical strength, and a product mindset.

I never heard back after the later stages, even after putting in a lot of time. From my perspective, it didn’t feel like my effort was respected, especially given how much the process took.

I didn’t get an offer, and the biggest reflection I had afterward was that the sheer volume of rounds combined with the silence at the end made the whole thing feel disrespectful.
