Datadog Software Engineer interview experience

Posted Oct 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

After my recruiter told me I’d passed, I expected team matching to follow, but the process stalled.

It had been about three months without any match or any additional interviews with specific teams.

The frustrating part wasn’t that the interviews were unclear—it was that once the early steps were done, there was no real momentum afterward. I kept waiting for the next stage to begin, and it never really did during that window.

No offer came out of it. My honest reflection was that passing early doesn’t guarantee a smooth end—logistics and timing can dominate the experience just as much as the interviews themselves.
