Datadog Software Engineer interview experience

ParisPosted Jun 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I eventually got an offer from Datadog for a Staff Software Engineering role.

The compensation package I was given was clear and concrete: a base of 125k euros, plus stocks valued around 200k over four years, for a total compensation figure listed as about 175k.

The interview process details weren’t included with what I shared, but the end result was unambiguous—there was a formal offer.

What stood out to me most was how straightforward the final number was once the decision was made, and how quickly that final step put an end to the uncertainty.
