My first real conversation was with a product leader.

It was about an hour long and centered on my profile and aspirations, but it also pulled in what daily life as a Product Manager at Datadog looks like. The discussion stayed pleasant throughout.

After that, there was a use case portion where I had to think through a scenario rather than just explain past work. It felt like a relatively light but focused start—more about seeing how I reason and communicate than throwing me into deep technical territory right away.
