Databricks Software Engineer interview experience

Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

A recruiter reached out to me directly after finding me on LinkedIn, and the process ended up feeling pretty lightweight at first.

I ended up speaking with a hiring manager, then moved to a call with HR, and after that I had a phone screening.

What stood out most was how quickly the process moved between people—no long gap of just waiting in the dark—and how early it felt like I was being routed through different stakeholders rather than sitting in a single technical lane. I didn’t end up with an offer, but the steps themselves were straightforward: recruiter touchpoint, hiring manager conversation, HR call, then the screening.
