Databricks Software Engineer interview experience

In the coding round, I wrote methods and tests for something like a LazyArray, which required me to think carefully about how operations should behave.

In the algorithms stage, I faced a problem where I had to work with set usage, but the interviewer pushed further and asked how else I could implement the same idea using different data structures like arrays or heaps, along with how runtime would change. It was a more analytical kind of round than just coding to a target solution, and the difficulty felt average overall—challenging, but not overwhelming.
