I had a recruiter phone interview first, and then I moved into a technical conversation with an architect and a senior manager.

The format was clear: there was a coding exercise that I had to complete in order to reach the final round.

The overall tone was competitive but organized around that prerequisite coding step. I didn’t end up moving forward past that phase, so the coding exercise became the deciding factor for me.

The feeling afterward was that it wasn’t about lengthy explanations or multiple unrelated areas—it was really about whether I could finish the coding work to their standard within the round’s constraints.
