I was reached out to by a recruiter through LinkedIn, and after a 30-minute HR session, they set up an interview with a VP.

The interview ended up feeling really odd from the start because the VP didn’t even introduce themselves or set context for the company or role. The first real question was essentially why I wanted to leave my current company.

At that point, I felt like the conversation style wasn’t welcoming or human at all, and I could tell it probably wasn’t a fit for me. I never received a follow-up after that interview.

I didn’t move forward. The reflection I took from it was that the process didn’t have much of a normal professional rhythm, and the lack of basic rapport made everything feel off.
