My early stages started with a short, introductory call and then moved into an online assessment that combined logic and English.

The process quickly became more step-by-step: after the online test, I was told it went very well, and then I booked a follow-up call to go deeper.

That follow-up ended up being mostly personal questions rather than technical. I remember prompts like why I had chosen my university and what I did in my free time. It felt like the interview was assessing fit in a way that wasn’t consistent with how the online assessment feedback had been described.

After a few days, I received a rejection. What really frustrated me was the mismatch between the positive wording I’d gotten after the assessment
