Santa Ana, CAPosted Sep 2011 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had an unsettling experience after things started moving in my favor.

The recruiter reached out and told me they were ready to make an offer, and the very next day the position was put on hold. After that, the recruiter stopped following up.

I left messages about the offer and never received a call back. The whole thing felt unprofessional, especially because I was basically left hanging after being led to believe the next step was already locked in. In the end, I didn’t get the offer, and it left me with the uncomfortable reminder that even when the process starts strong, communication can still fall apart.
