Costar Group Systems Engineer interview experience

I had a first round with the hiring manager, then I met a team lead afterward.

Both conversations stayed anchored to my resume. Instead of digging into algorithms or coding, they basically worked through what I had written to make sure my experience was legitimate. The whole thing felt more like verification and fit than a traditional engineering assessment.

I ultimately didn’t get an offer, but the experience was memorable in a different way—it was low-pressure, with the emphasis placed on credibility and alignment rather than deep technical testing.
