I applied through the Columbia Jobs online system and went through what felt like a standard administrative path.

After submitting my CV and resume there, I answered a couple of questions by email, then I completed a phone interview.

After that, I just waited. It took about two months before the position suddenly flipped to “filled” in the system. No one followed up with a decision, and I never got any email explaining what happened or letting me know I hadn’t moved forward.

The interview experience itself didn’t feel brutally difficult, but the process ended up feeling oddly silent. I was left with the vague sense that I never got closure, which was the most frustrating part despite the interview
