San Jose, CAPosted Jul 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My process felt like it went well early on, and then got strange at the end.

They flew me out for the final round and presented it as mandatory, which raised the stakes more than I expected.

Even though the overall process had been fine leading up to that, I ultimately didn’t receive the position after the final interview. The recruiter who coordinated everything was amazing and easy to talk to, but the interviewers in the final stage felt more lukewarm.

It was difficult mostly because the logistics and commitment didn’t translate into an offer. Walking away, what stayed with me was the disconnect between the seriousness of the final step and the outcome.
