Coinbase Software Engineer interview experience

Posted Feb 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I got ready for a Coinbase interview loop that I understood to be mostly technical, with multiple rounds before any wrap-up.

Recruiter/intro stage (implied) — I was told there would be a behavioral component alongside coding.
Technical rounds (2 total) — I was expecting two separate coding rounds.
Behavioral round (1 total) — I expected a behavior-focused interview to round out the loop. Outcome: I don’t have a result here, but my takeaway from the guidance was to prepare both for coding and behavioral examples because the loop was explicitly multi-part.
