My experience started like it was going to be straightforward, but scheduling and communication kept derailing things.

I had a recruiter-driven first round that kept getting pushed back, and even after multiple reschedules, the final one ended with a cancellation message a few minutes before the interview. The reason given was that the role had been filled.

Later, I had another recruiter screen that I thought went really well. During the call it felt like I was viewed as a strong fit, but then I got ghosted when I followed up for status and eventually received an automated rejection email. What lingered was the disconnect I felt between the recruiter’s perception and what the hiring team was actually doing.
