My interview was for the insurance domain, and it had a gatekeeping feel.

Two interview rounds were planned with senior management level employees, but the second round only got scheduled if I cleared the first one. I did clear the first round, so I was hopeful.

After that, I waited for the follow-up for round two, but I never received a call back after the second stage was supposed to happen. The process didn’t drag out with lots of extra steps—it just kind of ended abruptly on my side. I wasn’t offered the role, and the hardest part to process was how the second round outcome felt opaque once the scheduling moved forward.
