I interviewed for a Software Engineer role with a Java-heavy, multi-round technical flow that felt moderate-to-difficult and moved quickly across stages.

Aptitude/Java assessment — A mix of aptitude and Java fundamentals.
Technical Java round — More focused Java basics, including areas like arrays/strings and linked-list fundamentals.
Coding/technical assessment — Short coding tasks (often one main question) plus core fundamental checks based on DSA practice; one round also mixed in related basic topics.
Manager/HR touchpoint — An HR discussion and/or a final screen to evaluate communication and overall fit. Outcome: I didn’t move forward, and the main takeaway was that I needed stronger, more Java/DSA-specific
