CodeSignal·Software Engineer

CodeSignal Software Engineer interview experience

MediumCandidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a DSA-style second round that started with me working through a brute-force approach, then shifting to a dynamic programming solution.

As I was coding, the interviewer stepped in with hints that nudged me toward a greedy direction after the DP thinking.

I eventually got to a working solution and was able to code it by the end, but some edge cases didn’t behave correctly on CodeSignal. The round felt structured and interactive, and even though I reached the intended direction, the final correctness in the platform mattered a lot for how it landed.
