I was asked to do a small scripted task that felt like wasted effort, followed by no meaningful follow-up.

Unsolicited home assignment via email — I received a home assignment and was expected to submit finished code to a public Git repo; after realizing it seemed fishy, I didn’t complete it.
Script-only challenge (top workplaces) — I was sent a task to create a script to compute the top three workplaces with the most shifts, completed it, and still felt it was a complete waste of time. Outcome: I didn’t move forward; the takeaway was that short, script-based work wasn’t paired with enough human engagement or feedback.
