My first real interview step was via Zoom and split into two distinct halves.

One part was behavioral, with straightforward prompts like introducing myself and why I wanted IB, then I moved into a technical segment that focused on accounting and valuation. The change in tone mid-session was noticeable, and it felt like they wanted both clean communication and real finance fundamentals.

After that, the path continued with a manager-style interview where I received a time slot by email and then interviewed with two managers in succession. The conversation took about 45 minutes, and the questions felt closer to my experience and how I’d operate under their expectations.
