I went through a two-round interview that started by walking through my resume, why I wanted the position, and how I viewed the team that was hiring.

That first conversation was more about alignment and my background than it was about drilling into technical depth.

The second round was with a team member and mixed technical and behavioural questions. The way it was framed made it feel like they wanted confirmation that I could handle the role’s core work while also understanding how I’d collaborate.

I didn’t receive an offer, and the main takeaway I had afterward was that it felt like a fit-and-competency check rather than a chance to impress through one standout technical moment.
