After an initial phone call with HR, I went into two follow-up interviews that felt noticeably harder than average.

The first was technical and behavioral combined, with a lot of emphasis on my Java and Spring Boot experience, plus backend API work.

Most of the questioning stayed anchored to that backend profile, and I also did a medium Java LeetCode-style problem related to palindrome logic. The overall process also reflected a typical Citi-style flow with an aptitude test to start and then technical interviews afterward, so by the time the live work started, it felt like they were pushing for real readiness rather than surface-level familiarity.
