I went through a group assessment first, and it was designed around discussion and then follow-ups.

I was given a topic to talk through and a set of questions to answer, and the format was very interactive—if the interviewer seemed interested, I could expect follow-up questions instead of a flat, scripted sequence.

After that, I moved into 1-on-1 interviews. Those focused on my resume and technical questions, and they were more direct, like they wanted to confirm details from my background and check I understood the fundamentals behind the role.

In that broader style of assessment, I also had a technical-light group component where we read news articles and each presented on one.
