Citadel Software Engineer interview experience

The first technical round lasted 45 minutes and started with a quick resume review. After that, I solved an OOD-and-algorithms problem in C++ that centered on merging K sorted arrays. The template included an abstract class that I had to implement end-to-end, and the input arrays and objects were wrapped in shared_ptr, which made the code structure a little harder to read at first. I spent time just untangling the template and how the shared pointers were meant to be used, but once I understood it, the algorithm came together and I explained time complexity.
