Citadel Securities Software Engineer interview experience

I felt good about my performance because I scored full marks on the OA.

But after that, I didn’t hear back for the in-person interview, and I later realized it was likely because the resume screening didn’t advance me. There was also an element that felt automated—like the OA could pass and still not guarantee progress if the rest of the pipeline didn’t select me.

I didn’t get an offer. My honest reflection was that the OA went well, so it was frustrating to feel like the decision was largely determined by earlier gating rather than what I demonstrated in the coding problems.
