I had an HR screening round first, followed by a technical interview.

The technical portion was a math/logic problem and then a coding task at the medium “leetcode” level. I was able to solve both, but I didn’t get through them quickly or efficiently enough, and that seemed to matter a lot.

The overall vibe was still positive—at least in terms of how the conversation went—so it didn’t feel like I was being judged unfairly. What surprised me was how high the bar felt even when I believed my solutions were correct.

I ended up getting rejected, and my main takeaway was that speed and efficiency were as important as correctness in that loop.
