Citadel Securities Software Engineer interview experience

The whole thing came across as very challenging, and I remember thinking the problems were firmly in the algorithms and data structures lane.

After that, I had a series of interviews that ran long enough to feel like multiple full conversations—each one roughly 45 minutes to an hour. They were still technical in nature, and the pressure was that the coding and problem-solving weren’t just “warmups.” I didn’t make it past the later stage; I reached the third round but ultimately didn’t get an offer, and the process felt brutally difficult overall.
