Ottawa, ONPosted Feb 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

This one felt long and heavy on deep technical depth right away.

An employee reached out on LinkedIn and the hiring manager was based in the US, with a distributed team across time zones. The role was tied to the Ottawa location, but the interviews played out in a way that reflected that broader, multi-zone setup.

The process ran through five rounds, and the technical bar leaned very deep—especially on operating system and networking concepts. They also asked DSA questions in C programming, and the distribution of rounds felt skewed: two rounds were centered on programming, while the rest focused on OS and networking rather than just coding.
