The first technical screen was a Java-focused conversation about my background, followed by about a 25-minute HackerRank LeetCode-style easy coding question. What threw me off was how much very specific, old-school Java trivia came up (like autoboxing). I was told it wasn’t necessary, but it still showed up, and I couldn’t answer everything. I completed the easy coding part, then went into the final rounds.
