The interview process felt like it moved straight into intensity right away.

I had a 45-minute video interview with the director, and as soon as the call started I got the sense she wasn’t going to be warm or easy to talk to. She focused heavily on my previous experience and, specifically, the volume of accounts I’d worked with.

As I answered, it felt like she wasn’t believing what I said. By the time the conversation progressed, I mentally decided to withdraw my application—there was no amount of compensation that would make me comfortable working under that kind of dynamic. I honestly didn’t want to continue once I could tell the stress level would be too
