Portsmouth, NHPosted Jun 2016 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I ended up having an interview experience that felt less like a real evaluation and more like a vague conversation that never quite got to specifics.

I’d been encouraged to apply by current employees, and after that I went through a series of phone interviews. The first call ended up going off-kilter because the interviewer was late and kept me waiting, which made me uneasy right away.

The conversation was friendly, but it stayed shallow—there wasn’t much depth about the job itself beyond broad claims about the company and its “culture.” When I didn’t get the position, it confirmed what my gut had already suspected: the process hadn’t felt like it was about my sales skills so much as about whether I aligned with something undefined.
