CATERPILLAR Software Engineer interview experience

That call felt pretty straightforward, and then later I was told I didn’t make it to the next round.

Another time in the same type of process, the pipeline was structured like eliminations: first an online assessment, then a group discussion where the qualifiers moved on to technical rounds, and then finally an HR round. Each stage filtered people out, and the question level was described as medium to tough. It made the whole thing feel fast-paced and high stakes, because there wasn’t much room to recover if you slipped up early.
