CATERPILLAR Software Engineer interview experience

In the later stages, the interview questions were STAR based, and they also asked a few technical questions meant to probe how I thought.

Timing-wise, I applied in early November and didn’t hear much until I got an invite to the assessment centre in mid-March. It felt like a slower-moving process compared to others I’d experienced, but once it started, it followed a clear structure. I ended up receiving an offer, and overall the experience felt like they were evaluating both how I collaborated and how I made decisions when technical reasoning came into play.
