After the screening round, I went into a behavioral interview where they wanted STAR answers—situation, task, action, and result.

The format drove how I structured my stories, and I focused on giving clear outcomes tied to what I did.

Near the end, they shifted into a more technical topic and asked a few questions on state estimation. It caught me off guard slightly because the interview had been mostly behavioral up to that point, but it still felt like they were trying to see how I thought rather than just recall details. I didn’t end up with an offer, but the experience was coherent: behavioral framing first, then a targeted technical check.
