Early on, I ran into the most stressful part of the process: the initial screener was a long Excel-based analysis that I had to complete quickly.

It felt like everything depended on time, and I didn’t finish within the window.

The tasks were very tool-specific—pivot tables, lookups, and other Excel mechanics that you need to move fast with. I remember realizing mid-way that even if I understood the logic, I was struggling to execute quickly enough to complete everything they expected.

Because that screener was the first hurdle and I couldn’t get to the finish line, the process didn’t move forward for me after that point. It was genuinely difficult, and not getting through left me reflecting on how unforgiving the timing was.
