Capita Software Engineer interview experience

Negative

London, EnglandPosted Jun 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My process was honestly intimidating and not as aligned with the role as I expected.

The interview included non-technical questions that I couldn’t directly connect to what the position would actually require, and that made the whole experience feel off-track.

Long before the interview, I spent a lot of time preparing a PowerPoint presentation with diagrams for a solution, because it seemed like they wanted a specific format and depth. That preparation was the biggest time sink.

I didn’t receive an offer. The reflection I had was that even with the work I put in, the process felt mismatched, and the non-technical emphasis weighed on me more than I expected.
